help for hearts// Bikram had a meeting with someone from Cedars Sinai the other day. At their
request. He said they had a two hour meeting scheduled but they finished it in
fifteen minutes. Apparently, a doctor from the hospital had heard of Bikram Yoga
and has been taking classes as a way to check it out. He subsequently called
Bikram and proposed a collaborative study to see how the yoga might be used to
treat post-op open heart surgery patients. According to Bikram the meeting was
short because everybody immediately agreed that they wanted to work together and
get started on the project as soon as possible. He and Rajashree are going to
develop some posture modifications that can be done in patient's hospital rooms
within days after the surgery.
