I have registered BYD with Beanpool.com,a web service that allows people to rate and review local businesses. I have looked for a service like this before and never found one that worked well or had any significant content so I hope this one works. I encourage you to visit our page and add your opinion.
If you’re a small business owner in Decatur or the Metro Atlanta area why don’t you register and let’s see if there’s a way to link our businesses. They have a “Friend” feature but at first glance it doesn’t work as I would expect it to — I’d like to be able to show a list of other businesses that I support but it looks like the “Friends” feature is only used for sending emails asking other people to register. I’ll keep looking and if necessary will suggest they allow us to link our businesses.
Anyone who called the studio during the last 10 days and listened to the answering machine message probably noticed that it wasn’t working properly. That wouldn’t include me, apparently, because I just discovered the problem yesterday. There is a menu of four choices allowing callers to listen to general information, pricing, schedule or directions. Somehow, before leaving town on Feb. 2, I screwed things up and all any caller could hear was the schedule. It’s fixed with apologies.
All classes will resume starting tomorrow morning (Saturday, Feb. 2) at 9:00 am. The regular schedule is in effect.
Something I haven’t addressed yet but I know many of you are wondering about is how this affects class card expiration dates. Everyone may get a two day extension on their class card. The only catch is that we don’t have an automated way to do it for everyone with a current class card so each of you is going to have to request it when you sign in. It’s a simple fix so just ask whoever is checking you in to extend your expiration date by two days. This is probably more of a concern to those of you on the 10 Day Intro but anyone else may request it as well.
Thank you all for your patience, understanding and encouraging emails.
It’s clear we will not be open in time for a 4:30 pm class. The electricians worked until 9:00 pm last night and were back on the job at 6:00 am this morning so it’s not for lack of effort. The job is a big one and, even if we finish soon, there is the inspection to deal with. I am now hoping for a Saturday morning grand re-opening.
