We still don’t know exactly when the repairs will be complete but it’s clear we will not be able to hold our 10 am class tomorrow. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for 4:30 pm but won’t know for sure until sometime tomorrow morning.

The electrical problem at the studio is more serious than I thought. We will definitely be closed all day today, Thursday, January 31. There will be no PM classes as I hoped. At this time, I have no idea if we will be able to open tomorrow morning. Of course, I’m hoping to be able to but it’s out of my hands.
Because of the power outage the answering machine at the studio is not working so you will not be able to call for status reports as I previously suggested. The only way I have to get word to you about when we’ll be open is by email and on this web site. If you’re interested in knowing more about what’s going on keep reading. Otherwise just pay attention for further updates.
Our electrical meter has failed and needs to be repaired by our electrician. Because the meter is the interface between GA Power’s outside electrical lines and our internal systems the County requires us to get a permit to initiate the repairs and then an inspection before we can turn the power back on. The good news is that our electrician is on the job already, arranging for the permit and beginning the repairs. He thinks he can be finished today so the big unknown factor is how soon we can get a County inspector to come sign off on it. Stay tuned for progress reports.
Apologies for the inconvenience. Let’s all practice patience, understanding and acceptance. I am grateful that Pat Murphy Electrical, Inc. is on the job. They rock!

The 10 am and 3:30 pm classes have been cancelled for today, Thursday, January 31. I’m sorry for the short notice but all out heating systems are inoperable due to a GA Power problem. They assured me it would be fixed last night but it wasn’t.
We will probably be operational in time for the 5:30 and 7:30 pm classes tonight. Please keep an eye on this site for updates throughout the day.

We’re selling our washer/dryer. This electric machine uses 70% less energy and water than conventional Washer/Dryers. It is a combo unit meaning it cycles immediately from wash mode to dry mode in the same tank. It plugs into a regular household outlet (110V). Most electric dryers require a high voltage outlet (220V) but this one doesn’t. It also doesn’t need to be vented. Read more about it at our Craig’s list ad before asking questions.

I don’t usually link to articles not specifically related to yoga and you may initially think this is such an article but if you think about it, yoga = peace.
What the anti-war community needs to do is convince the majority of Americans that simply being forced to engage in a war—any war—is a defeat. One need not count bodies or measure areas of land occupied by troops to determine “victory”. The fact that the U.S. is forced to expend lives and treasure in violent conflict with others should be viewed as a failure—a failure of American ideology or policy or diplomacy or execution. If the U.S. were really doing everything the right way, we would not need to engage in military action against others—at least we would not be the ones initiating that action. Acts of violence are more likely to cause problems than to solve them, in addition to being far more costly than any other means of resolving a problem.
The article is simply titled, Peace.
